A year of change, notable for the growth in influence of the two main Presidential election candidates, Ségolène Royal et Nicolas Sarkozy. A new generation on the verge of power.
A year of revelations. The French showed a passionate interest in their justice system. After the fiasco of the Outreau trial, the hearings of the Parlimentary commission permitted us to discover the anger of the accused found not guilty and the explanations of the magistrates.
A year of conflicts, shown by the continuing problems of the Americans in Iraq, another war by Israel in the Lebanon and the emergence of new nuclear threats form Iran and North Korea.
