Mister Men/Dreams (Monsieur Madame/Rêves)

Charity auction "Famous Mister Men" in favour of the charity Dreams

The Mister Men celebrate their 25th birthday!

Mélissa Theuriau - Monsieur Madame

Created in 1971 by Roger Hargreaves, the Mister Men characters arrived in France in 1982. Published by Hachette Jeunesse, this collection of small white books, amongst the favourites of 4-7 year olds, has continued on its merry way. There are at least 90 characters with as many books and personalities: from Mr Ticklish to the latest, Mr and Mrs Birthday, and including Mr Brilliant, Mrs Joker or Mr Badly Brought Up...

For the 25th birthday of these famous children's characters, the artist, Adam HARGREAVES, wanted to support a charity by drawing 11 famous Mister Men inspired by celebrities: Marcel DESAILLY, Diam's, José GARCIA, Marie GILLAIN, Franck DUBOSC, Karine LE MARCHAND, Hervé MATHOUX, Tony PARKER, Sonia ROLLAND, Elie SEMOUN and Mélissa THEURIAU. The lithographs were auctioned on eBay between 9-19 February in favour of the charity Dreams. The numerous bidders gave 1500 euros to help fulfill more dreams.
