Ambassador for Dreams (Rêves)
Mélissa Theuriau has been an ambassador for Dreams since Summer 2006.
The objective of Dreams

A national charity, Dreams has the goal of fulfilling the dearest wishes of seriously ill children.
To bring a little magic and hope into the life of seriously ill children, has been the objective of this charity for 12 years.
Dreams was created on 5 February 1994 in Trévoux by Christophe Charlet. Following a long stay in hospital for one of his children, this father decided to act to help sick children: to fulfill their dream...
Dreams is a non profit-making charity under the French law of 1901, recognised as such beneficial to the general interest of society. It has the seal of approval "Major National Cause for Fraternity" (« Grande Cause nationale Fraternité »).

How did Dreams and Mélissa Theuriau get together?
The meeting between Dreams and Mélissa took place in April 2006 in the LCI studios. I was invited on her programme with Patrick Chêne, figurehead for Dreams, to present our charity and to talk about an auction of CELINE handbags, organised by the brand in our favour. Mélissa was very interested and sensitve to the work of Dreams with sick children. I immediately felt that she shared our values. A few weeks later, I wrote to her suggesting that she became an Ambassador for the charity. She accepted with great pleasure. She has since actively participated in all the charity's projects.
What is Mélissa Theuriau's role in Dreams and what does she do exactly?
As an Ambassador, Mélissa has a very important role in Dreams. As often as possible, she informs about and promotes our charity in the media. She is always willing to participate in a programme or event in favour of Dreams. She both represents and guarantees the values and image of the charity with the public, in whom she inspires confidence. But Mélissa also insists on being active in Dreams by being with the children fulfilling their dream. A member of the charity is always present to help and be with the child fulfilling his or her dream. Soon she is going to take Geoffrey, a teenager passionate about journalism, to the recording of her programme. Finally she is involved in the major projects of the charity: currently she is working with us on our next Charity Gala, which will allow us to collect money and fulfill many dreams.
